Stephen Thomas Cottage

The cottage was built by Frederick A. Ross between 1818 and 1829 and purchased by Stephen Thomas in 1830. Thomas was a partner and manager of the Ross Silk Mill (later Ross Cotton Mill) located near Rotherwood Mansion. Stephen Thomas married Maria Rogan, daughter of a prominent Kingsport merchant.
